Biofilters
Furbish Company designs, furnishes, installs, and maintains Naturaire© biofilters, developed by Air Quality Solutions in Guelph, Ontario. These biofilters replace high-tech, energy consumptive air filtration systems with living walls that harness the natural phytoremediation capabilities of tropical houseplants to effectively remove common airborne pollutants.

Adds Oxygen

As commonly understood, plants take up carbon dioxide and give off oxygen providing a wonderful symbiotic relationship with humans. However, the volume of plants required to significantly benefit human occupancy far exceeds practical limits. In other words, you would need a forest of plants to provide the oxygen consumed by occupants in an average sized building.
Our objective is to remove toxins from the air. Specifically, the Nedlaw Living Wall effectively removes VOCs from the indoor air – at a great leverage ratio. Approxi- mately 1 square foot of vegetated wall area will filter the air for approximately 100 square feet of office area.
