Furbish Company designs, furnishes, installs and maintains Naturaire© biofilters, developed by Air Quality Solutions in Guelph, Ontario. These biofilters replace high-tech, energy consumptive air filtration systems with living walls that harness the natural phytoremediation capabilities of tropical houseplants to effectively remove common airborne pollutants.

Removes Pollutants

From Indoor Air

--------------------

US EPA places poor indoor air quality fourth on a list of 31 largest environmental threats in the US, affecting nearly 25% of US residents, either at the workplace or the home. These pollutants can be as diverse as toxic chemicals emitted from building materials and furnishings, combustion pollutants like carbon monoxide and toxic particles, and biological contaminants such as moulds and bacteria.

Nedlaw Living Wall biofilters have been developed to draw on the natural strength of nature's purification processes to address indoor air quality problems, improving significantly the performance of HVAC systems. With over eight years of research at the University of Guelph, there is significant data on the effectiveness of Nedlaw Living Wall biofilters in improving indoor air quality.
